ABOUT US
WHO IS JESUS?
Jesus is someone who brings peace, joy and hope into your life. Read on to find out
how this happens. Just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so there are
spiritual laws which govern our relationship with God.
Spiritual Law 1: God LOVES you and offers a wonderful PLAN for your life.
Spiritual Law 2: Since people are sinful and we are all separated from God by this sin, we cannot know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.
Spiritual Law 3: Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. Through Him you can know and experience God’s love and plan for your life.
Spiritual Law 4: We must individually ask forgiveness of our sins and make Jesus Christ Lord of our lives; then we will know and experience God’s love and plan for our lives.
Making Christ Lord of our lives involves praying to God and trusting Jesus to come into our lives and to forgive our sins. When we do this, He will forgive us and offer us a whole new life with him. A life of peace, joy and the security of knowing that God loves us and has everything in His control. Just to agree intellectually that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for our sins is not enough. Nor is it enough to have an emotional experience. We receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will.
To receive this wonderful gift, simply pray this prayer, “Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be.”
Now your walk with Christ has just begun!
The Bible
The Bible is confusing, where do I start?
Many people don’t know exactly how to read the bible. Here is a brief explanation and a list of things you should read first. The Bible is God’s word and teaches the principles He wants us to understand. The Bible is divided into two parts: the Old and New Testaments. The Old Testament was written before Christ’s birth (BC) and the New Testament was written after his birth (AD). The old and new testaments of the bible are further divided into books. Each book is divided into chapters and verses in order to make it easier to find a passage you are looking for. In the front of your bible is a table of contents that will tell you the page number for each book.
You should start reading in the book of John, chapter 3. This sums up how much God loves us.
